Survived by sons and daughters- in-law Mark & Dorte Abrams, Miami,
FL., Ross & Jill Abrams, Shorewood, MN. daughter Stephanie Abrams,
Minneapolis, daughter Michele Abrams Simertz, White Bear Lake, MN. Grandchildren:
Alba, Luke, Adam and Austin Abrams, Jacob & Marissa Simertz. Brother
& sister-in-law Allen & Lori Abrams, Glenview, IL. Nephew &
niece Jeff & Sandy Abrams, Edina, MN. and many loving relatives
and friends.
Mr. Abrams was a proud member of the 1956 graduating class of Minneapolis
Washburn High School. He received his
Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, class of June
1960. He served six years as a commissioned officer in the United States
Army, both active duty and reserves. Mr. Abrams enjoyed an extensive
career in the investment business in Minneapolis with such firms as
Ebin Robertson, Piper Jaffery, Dougherty Dawkins and Summit Investment
Corporation. As a member of the Minneapolis investment community he
functioned as a stock and bond broker, a corporate syndicate manager,
a senior options principal and a senior compliance principal.
In lieu of a funeral service and Shiva, a Celebration of Life honoring
Bob Abrams, hosted by his family members will be held on Saturday, May
20th, at 2:00pm on the banks of the Minnehaha Creek across from his
boyhood home at W Minnehaha Pkwy at 52nd & Girard Ave South.
Old friends who wish to drink a toast to his memory are cordially invited
to attend.
