David Galbraith
David P. Galbraith - 8/14/38 - 1/11/14
Dave passed peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, he was a graduate of Washburn High, and he attended the University of
Minnesota. Dave served in the U.S. Army 1960-1963. He retired from St. Paul Co's/Travelers in
1988. He and wife Darla moved to Oregon 1993.
Curator and lifetime member of The Oregon Air & Space Museum (Eugene OR), lifetime member of
the T.C.A.H. (Minneapolis, MN). Dave was an avid model airplane builder, airline historian,
Eagle Scout, lover of nature and animals, traveler, photographer, stamp collector and Organizer
Extraordinaire.
Dave is survived by loving wife of 53 years Darla, daughters and sons in law, Kimberly Dole
(Sam) and Kristine Galbraith (Keith Root), brother Alden Galbraith, and many other loving
relatives and friends.
A gathering of friends will be Sunday January 19th, 2pm-5pm at the
Oregon Air & Space Museum, 90377 Boeing Drive, Eugene, OR 97402. Light refreshments will be
served. Dress Casual.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Oregon Air & Space Museum (Eugene OR), The
American Cancer Society , or your favorite charity . Please perform a random act of kindness in
his memory.
