George B. Gustafson
George B. Gustafson, age
62, resident of Brainerd, formerly of Waverly, died peacefully while watching
the sun come up over the lake at his home in Brainerd with his family
beside him on September 30th after a one year battle with cancer.
George is survived by wife, Beverly; daughters, Julie (Dave) Embry, Mound,
Donna (Casey) Gustafson, and Debbie Gustafson, Tucson, AZ; sons, Gary
and Gordon Gustafson, Montrose; sisters, Gail (Kent) McLaughlin & Marlene
(Ed) LaFave. Extended family, Alan Ruter, Mpls., Donna & Chester Pittman,
Kansas City, MO, Curtis Ruter, Alexandria, MN, and Robert Ruter, Pine
City, MN.
George was preceded in death by his mother and father; and two baby boys.
George was born on February 5, 1938. He served in the U.S. Marine Reserves
for 2 yrs. Journeyman and master Electrician for 35 years and owner of
Waverly Electric for 9 yrs. Graduate of Dunwoody Inst. and Washburn High
School. Altar boy at Lyn Hearst Congregational Church. George was a fun
loving person and always had a smile to share.
Open house at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 7, at Gustafson's residence
in Brainerd, 4075 CR 23 SE.
