Washburn High School

Class of 1956 - In Memory Of

Myra Heiman

Krank, Myra (Heiman) Age 74, of Edina, passed away Dec. 20, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Myer "Mike" and Pearl Heiman; and son, Steven G. Survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Ronald; children, Kim and Kari; son-in-law, Robert York; and daughter-in-law, Teresa; grandchildren, Canon, Morgan and Gavin Capra, Schuylar and Jordan Krank, and Emily York; sister, Fern (Irv) Jacobson; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She surrendered to the effects of the horrible disease ALS, with courage, dignity and grace. Myra was surrounded with family, as well as Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman who miraculously appeared at her front door moments before she passed, almost as though all of the love and prayers being sent her way from family and friends lined up like planets from the heavens above, as Rabbi Zimmerman helped guide her to her final peace.

Myra's strong spirit, positive attitude, and amazing smile were a beacon of light to all who loved her - that light has now burned out. Myra belonged to many organizations, but her favorite was Temple Israel's Sisterhood where she delivered welcome baskets to new Temple members and made many close relationships in welcoming them to the community. Many are still close friends. She truly felt, and often said, that she had a beautiful life as she was surrounded by love from her parents, sister, husband, children, grandchildren, and numerous friends. She felt very fortunate that she shared many years with her devoted husband who she said made all her dreams come true. Funeral service MONDAY, 12:00 noon, TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. S, Mpls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Krank Family Camp Teko Fund c/o Temple Israel, or to the ALS Foundation. SHIVA: 5804 Vernon Lane, Edina (Mon. & Tues. 7 PM). Hodroff-Epstein 612-871-1234 www.hodroffepstein.com
