Holmberg, Frederick Lynn (1938 - 2002)
Died on August 4, 2002 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 63.
Born November 8, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and raised in Minneapolis.
Fred was an active Shriner and was a Marine Reservist while attending
Minnesota State University at Mankato from 1958 to 1962. He received
his BS degree in Business Administration and moved to California to
take a position at NWNL Insurance Co., where he remained for 30+ years.
On December 28, 1963, he married Harriet Alice Gann (who preceded him
in death) at Church of Our Savior in San Gabriel, CA. He moved his family
to Rancho Palos Verdes in 1969 where he lived until his death.
Fred enjoyed carpentry, fishing , and was passionate about his family,
golf, and his hot rod. He is survived by children, Michael Holmberg
and Kristina Holmberg-Chouinard; grandchildren, Frederick and Duncan
Chouinard; sisters, Carol Hamer and Gail Parmeter. Viewing will be Friday,
August 9 from 2-8:00 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary in San Pedro,other
services will be private.
Donations in Fred's memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
