Adams, James Allan August 21, 1938 - December 24, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Lucille Elizabeth Adams and Allan Walrath Adams. Survived by brother, Rick; niece, Shon Kayli; and stepchildren, Kelly Zubick and Travis Zubick.
Born in Minneapolis, Jim spent his early years in Seattle, WA, returning to Minneapolis at age 11. He became a standout wrestler for Washburn High School, graduated in 1956, then attended Gustavas Adolphus College. Jim interrupted his college education to serve in the Army in Germany, returning to graduate from Gustavas in 1966. Jim was employed by Honeywell for many years and worked with several other firms before joining the State of Minnesota, Dept. of Human Services. He retired from DHS in 2008.
Over the years, Jim developed an avid interest and considerable expertise in Norton motorcycles, old clocks, Lionel trains and 1969 Corvettes. He was an active Board Member of the National Corvette Restorers Society for many years and his passion for original parts was well-known to all.
