Errol,
I wanted you to know that Mary passed away yesterday. She had COPD, pneumonia and then they discovered
cancer in her lungs, lymph nodes and liver. She went into the hospital on Aug. 31st and then a week
later everything started to happen pretty quickly. Luckily, I was able to see and talk with her. She
was the best sister that anyone could ever hope to have and I will miss her dearly.
The plans for a service haven’t been finalized yet, but I believe her kids will have a memorial service
later in the fall when more of their relatives are in town.
I don’t have the contact information for your classmates. So I would appreciate it if you could let
everyone know that she had nothing but fond memories of her friendships and time at Washburn.
